So yesterday was Super Bowl Sunday and, unless you live under a rock, you know the Giants are now the NFL champions. So of course, with the prospect of this possibly happening, I stayed up until four in the morning, until the end of the very last play and my excitement wore down.
At seven last night I began watching pre game coverage and by nine, I was already getting tired. Until the clock struck midnight and then it was half an hour to go until the epic game began. At that time, my excitement went through the roof. I went down to the basement and began my crazy tweeting of the game, halftime, and my hatred of the Patriots. It was a room full of ten or so people from the program were there, and only three of us were pulling for the Giants. Hazards of being in a BU program. Anywho.... it was probably one of the most stressful sporting events of my life. I had to leave and go back to my room halfway through the fourth quarter because of all the stress.
Thank God the Giants one. I could not face all the happy Pats fans today. So, proudly, I braved the bitter cold of Geneva this morning armed with my Giants hat and trekked to class, on about four hours of sleep. You know you're in a foreign country when it seem that literally no one cares about the outcome of the Super Bowl. The culture is so different here.
Anyway..... just really wanted to blog about my feelings about the game and my happiness over the Giants becoming world champions. It's been an awesome day and I'm so excited to watch the game on a proper television when I get home in May.
Giants for the win!!!!
