Paris: Day 2

There's been a lot going on since my last post. I've left Paris and am currently staying in Tours, France for the next few days as it is a central location for castle visits. But as I have yet to post about my last two days in Paris, I guess I will have to start there.

In the morning, we travelled a little ways to the Jardin du Luxembourg, which seems like a tiny little park,  but is extremely popular with the morning exercise crowd apparently. We stopped at a crepe stand, where I got a nutella crepe, which is just pure deliciousness in my book.

In the park, we also found la Fontaine Medicis, this very cool looking fountain at the edge of the park.

After roaming around the gardens, we made our way up to the Panthéon. There is a lot more to see there than I thought, and a bunch of famous deceased people buried in the crypt, such as Marie Curie, Alexandre Dumas, and Victor Hugo.

Following the Panthéon was the Fontaine Saint Michel and L'Hôtel national des Invalides, which is essentially a collection of military museums and whatnot. Plus, Napoleon's tomb is located there.

Since we had hit all the major monuments at least once, it was time for the big event: going up the Eiffel Tower.

That was pretty much it for day number two in Paris. Tune in for day number three: gardens in Versailles and some more Paris wanderings.
