I'm on a Boat and Some Museum Adventures

Today was one of the more eventful days that I have had since arriving in Geneva. At noon, the whole group went on a two hour boat tour around Lake Geneva. We were in the first class dining hall and received an excellent 3 course meal (pictured below).

This was all super exciting because it was the first time I've had a real, full meal since I've been here. And it was all free so that is always a plus.

The rest of the boat ride was amazing. The towns lining the shores all look as if they belong in a fairy tale, with castles nestled into the landscape. The fluffy clouds and the mountains together looked like they belonged on a postcard. All in all it was a fantastic trip with breathtaking views and delicious food.

After the boat tour, which ended a little before 3, a small group of us decided to go to Le Musée Ariana, which is a Swiss museum of ceramics and the like. Of course, being me and not knowing any French, I walked through an exhibit that was technically only open to people who paid for a ticket. I was stopped for a ticket, had no idea what the man was saying, so just nodded and kept on walking. He must've just thought of me as a stupid American, cause he didn't ask again. Only when I went back to the lobby and started talking about how nice the exhibit was did I find out. Oh well. Live and learn.

  1. Dear Katie,
How do we know you're actually there if you don't take any pics of yourself?
