Field Trip to Bern

Today, most of the BU group went to Bern, the capital of Switzerland. The art history class went to take a tour of the city, while my class, Small States and International Security, went to see talks in the parliament building.

We had to wake up nice and early to catch the 9:10 train. Here are some lovely scenery pictures. Sorry for the window glare.

After a fun filled train ride with me inadvertently photo bombing what were supposed to be scenic pictures, we arrived in Bern. We were welcomed by cold rain and, since we had to go to parliament, walked to the parliament building in our Sunday best. The following are just some nice pictures of the parliament building and other pretty areas in the city. Also, a picture of my delicious penne alla arrabiata.

I especially enjoy the Titanic: Das Musical poster.

Because of the poor weather, some of us decided to hold the traveling for nicer weather. So, after returning to Geneva, our days were filled with museum touring and fondue and movie nights. And planning on different trips that we want to take.

Later this week, Thursday I think, we are having a Swiss food testing evening. And Sunday night or sometime next Monday, there will be loads more pictures added here as we are going to a castle. Until then.
